How Can I Do That?
You may be asking yourself, "How can I do that, I'm not a computer
programmer?" This guide is the answer to your questions. It will
guide you through the complete process of web page creation, dividing it
into simple parts and presenting them in a logical order. It will
assume no previous knowledge of HTML and it will help you to learn
everything you need to know to create your own homepage on the World Wide
Web!
All the pages in this tutorial are formatted for printing out so you can
have a copy next to you while designing and creating your own homepage.
In Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer just click the Print
button or hold down the Ctrl key and press P. If
you have a different browser please check your documentation for the "print"
command.
Before you start creating your home page, you should have some sort of
plan of what you're going to do. Ask yourself: do you have a
theme for your home page? How about
a title? Do you know how you're
going to organize your pages? Do you have
a good idea in your mind of what it's going to look
like?
After asking yourself these questions, you've probably realized that
there's more to creating a home page than just knowing HTML. HTML is
only a tool in the big picture. This section will help you to design
your home page from your idea of what it should look like. We'll start
with the most important aspect of your home page, the
theme.
