Free Webmaster Tools and Resources Ring
[ << Prev | List Sites | Next >> ] by Peter Conrad Cumminsky

is a ring of sites dedicated to *free* webmaster tools and resources! If you have anything that would help other webmasters in making, maintaining or promoting websites, and it's *free*, come on in. This homepage provides the tools you need to join the of web sites, i.e. a system of links between web sites on *free* webmaster tools and resources. It makes use of the Ringlink Webring Program. Ringlink is a *free* Open Source Software system. I host the system on my *free* site as a lifetime member of ARPA, a Public Access UNIX system. Nothing beats Free!

Requirements for joining the are that your site contains content about *free*  webmaster tools and resources and that the Ring code is placed on a page with links to your *free* content pages. You can place the Ring Code on either your homepage (recommended) or on an "Other free Links" page. Commercial sites must submit a page exclusively for *free* webmaster resources, commercial ads are OK on the page. You must register the page containing the actual Ring code for the .

History of the

The NetBSD WebRing was originally created on October 15, 2001 by Michael Graff. I joined the Ring on December 18, 2004 and was named ringmaster on March 25, 2005 when I repurposed it to for all flavors of BSD. The FreeBSD Ring was originally created on September 9, 1998 by Jonathan Fosburgh. I joined the ring on November 23, 2004 and was named ringmaster of it on August 1, 2005. I consolidated the WebRing Rings and moved to this current RingLink Ring on ...

Joining the

  1. Click here or on the Join Button above for the registration form.
  2. Fill out and submit the form.
  3. The system will send you a confirming email. This email will include all your registration information. It will include a complete copy of the default HTML code. It will also give you a link to the Site Admin page. You can use that page to make corrections or to get the default HTML code if you messed it up.
  4. If you decide to use one of the alternative HTML codes on this page see the section below.
  5. Copy the graphic logo you want (smaller one is for the default HTML code) from this page to your server.
  6. Copy the default or alternative HTML codes to the page on your server you registered on the form. Placement is up to you but I always recommend the top of the page [Grin]. If using a WYSIWYG Web Editor please use the "insert HTML code" option to include the code. For example, on FrontPage it may be under "Insert - Advanced - HTML...", You'll need to RTFM for other Web Editor's options. Make sure the inserted code point's to the correct location of your saved graphic logo.
  7. You may also make other custom changes, provided you use an authorized graphic, maintain the functions, use appropriate title parameters and remain true to the spirit of the Ring.

For example, you may want to include the controls in another table, or you may want to give the table borders some "width" or color. If you want to center the table here is a link to a table centering code page for both CSS and HTML.

  8. E-mail the , so I can check your work.
  9. I'll check out what you have done and, assuming you did it right, I'll move you from the Queue into the Webring.
  10. Congratulations - That's It - You're Done!
